First of all I want to say excellent blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing. I have had a difficult time clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there. I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or hints? Cheers!

My inspiration comes from the three S’s. SCRIPTURE, SAINTS AND SOCIETY. I read the gospel each day via the Magnificat, check out the saint of the day and scan social media. Something usually clicks for me that I feel is relevant to chat about. God Bless!

  3. As a retired professor of Writing, I would suggest taking a statement that is, as it were, “meaty”, make it into a question, and then use it as a writing prompt. For instance Fr. Hagarty says in his book, Conversion, that a conversion experience engages you in a relationship with God, or perhaps the Mother of God. So a prompt might be: What specifically might be some aspects of such a relationship in your experience in any of the 12 steps in the Courage Program?”
